**NOTE** Court mandated Community Service volunteers must pay a $50 non-refundable fee to do their service hours at the Adams County SPCA. All Volunteers must be a Member and wear a volunteer T-shirt when volunteering. You may purchase a Volunteer T-shirt for $10 at orientation and if you are not already a member, you will receive 50% off the $30 Membership fee.
The ACSPCA does participate in High School Graduation Community Service Programs and some Court mandated Community Service is accepted. Court mandated Community Service needs to be authorized by the Shelter Manager prior to approval. There are Rules and Regulations pertaining to our Community Service Programs. Please be sure to fill out the "Mandatory Service" section of the Volunteer application. All accepted Community Service Applicants must attend a Volunteer Orientation prior to beginning service.
Community Service is SERVICE related participation; it will not involve playing, socializing or interacting with animals. The time is spent cleaning and performing the required daily care for the animals at the Shelter, also possibly working on some projects as dictated by the Shelter Manager.
