At the beginning of every year, Gettysburg Beer Runners’ leader, Mark Purdy, has an empty “Big Brown” plastic bottle. Every Wednesday, after the weekly run in and around Adams County, the members of the Gettysburg Beer Runners deposit their contribution and at the end of the year, a local non-profit is randomly selected to receive the accumulated funds. This year the lucky winner was the Adams County SPCA.
On Wednesday evening at O’Rouke’s (another longtime ACSPCA supporter), the Beer Runners presented a check for $1,264.15 to ACSPCA treasurer and Beer Runner member, Katie Carroll, who thanked the group for its generosity and summarized the services provided by the ACSPCA and its great work in finding new homes for animals in need.
Sending out a BIG thank you to Sam's Club in Hanover!! They presented the Adams County SPCA with a Community Grant Donation of $2,500 at their Grand Opening on September 14th!
