Before putting your pet under anesthesia, a physical exam will be performed. As part of the pre-surgical examination, we recommend pre-anesthetic blood work be performed at your regular Veterinarian’s office 10-14 days prior to the surgery.
The health and safety of your pet is of our utmost concern. We strongly recommend pre-anesthetic blood work on all of our surgery patients. Routine blood work is also an excellent tool that may lead to early diagnosis of disease. If you choose not to have pre-surgical blood work, that is your choice, we just want to make you aware of the risk.
